GRAMMY, EMMY, and Academy Award-winning rapper-actor Common recently broke silence regarding his highly publicized split from comedienne Tiffany Haddish.

As we reported here, the celebrity couple suggested their relationship dissolved due to their respective busy schedules and dedication to their careers.

Taking to our friends at FOX SOUL’s ‘Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored’ this week, Common (born Lonnie Lynn) detailed the decision behind calling off the union while still showing love to his former boo.

Over the course of reflecting on the highs and lows of the relationship. Lynn suggested the end of the pandemic is what started the romance’s demise.

“First of all, I want to say, Tiffany, as you know, is for me, like, one of the best people I met in life. One of the best-hearted and most authentic and caring people that I met in life, and that’s what made me love her and be in love with her and want to be in a relationship with her and grow with her,” Common said before later continuing, “I don’t think the love really dispersed. I think it was just like we weren’t feeding the relationship.”

Ultimately, ‘The Light’ rapper admitted the breakup – which was ‘a mutual thing’ – was the result of accepting the difficulty of balancing his professional and personal life because they ‘didn’t want to be one foot in, one foot out.’

All-in-all, he maintains the two are still friends.
